Each treatment is straightforward and typically takes between 15 and 60 minutes depending on the area. There’s no downtime, so you can carry on with your day immediately after. Over the following weeks, treated hairs shed naturally, leaving smoother skin with every session. Most clients require 6–8 sessions for optimal, long-lasting result.

Treatment
Before your laser hair removal treatment, we ask you to shave the treatment area. This ensures the Lynton Excelight applicator can make direct contact with your skin to effectively target the hair follicles.
With the Lynton Excelight, a non-invasive and virtually painless procedure, the applicator is applied to the skin after being cleaned, with no need for anaesthesia. A quick pulse of light is then emitted, targeting multiple hair follicles at once. The applicator is moved methodically to adjacent areas, repeating the process until the entire treatment area is covered, leaving your skin ready for smooth, long-lasting results.

Aftercare
After your laser hair removal treatment, you can resume your normal activities immediately. Some redness or slight bumpiness around the hair follicles may occur within the first 24 hours, but these symptoms typically subside quickly.
Over the following 1–3 weeks, the treated hairs will shed as the follicles release them. During this time, it may look like the hair is growing, but this is simply the remaining hair being pushed out as your skin renews itself.

Most clients need 6–8 sessions. Body treatments are carried out every 6-8 weeks, facial treatments every 4-6 weeks. We leave this time in between to allow the hair enough time to return to its growth stage.
Results can be noticed after just a few treatments, with many noticing finer hair growth after their first session.
The exact number of treatments needed depends on your hair type, skin tone, and the area being treated. After your course, occasional top-up sessions may be needed to maintain result

Treatments can take as little as 10 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the treatment area.

Consultation & patch test to confirm suitability, assess the hair thoroughly and determine the correct settings to be used.
Preparation: You must not wax, pluck, tweeze, thread or use depilatory or bleaching creams 30 days prior to treatment as the hair needs to be in the follicle in order to be treated. Before treatment you should refrain from sunbathing and use self-tanners. We recommend no sun exposure for 4-6 weeks. We advise you to arrive at your appointment with the treatment area clean and shaved, without makeup, product or deodorant.
Treatment: The light emitted by our Lynton Excelight device is absorbed by the melanin (colour) within the hair, which is then converted into heat energy damaging the hair follicle.
Aftercare: Your clinician will provide verbal and written aftercare instructions following your treatment.

Laser hair removal works best where there is a strong contrast between hair colour and skin tone — typically darker hair on lighter skin. It is less effective on very fair, white, grey, or red hair as these lack sufficient melanin for the laser to target. During your consultation, Charlotte will assess your hair and skin type to confirm suitability and set realistic expectations for your results.

Laser hair removal is not recommended during pregnancy. While there is no definitive evidence of harm, it is standard clinical practice to postpone treatment until after delivery and breastfeeding. We are happy to discuss timing and plan your treatment course for when the time is right — get in touch and we can help you prepare.
